De Salomon à Soliman is an art history book authored by Mireille Royer-Benejeam, conservateur en chef honoraire du patrimoine, and published by the Musée du Protestantisme in Ferrières, Tarn, France. The book discusses the encounters between the three monotheistic religions around the Mediterranean, from King Solomon to Suleyman the Magnificent.
Lère was commissioned to produce close to 60 watercolors for the book. They illustrate the essential phases of the evolution of the religious architecture dedicated to monotheism around the Mediterranean, from the 10th century BC to the 16th century.
The official book launch took place on November 16, 2019, to coincide with the opening of an exhibition of the original watercolors at the Museum. The watercolor series is on display at the Musée du Protestantisme, Ferrières, Tarn, from July to December 2023.
